In addition to national attractions, the event will feature 11 regional performances and 16 locations with fees of up to R$ 10 thousand
The 25th edition of the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (Fica) launched, this Wednesday (17/4), the selection notice for artists from Goiás to be part of the event's artistic program. The document can be consulted on the festival's official website (fica.go.gov.br), and questions and clarifications can be sent to the email execult@ufg.br until 11:59 pm this Thursday (18/ 4).
During the clarification period, the artist can also start drafting their project. Registration begins this Friday (19/4) and runs until April 30th on the website Fica.go.gov.br. 11 regional and 16 local presentations will be selected, the latter being exclusive to residents of the city of Goiás. To register, you will need to fill out the online form and send the documents requested in the regulations available on the event's official website.
The selected regional acts will all be musical and will receive R$ 10,000 each. Local artists will be able to sign up for musical performances, poetry vocals, hip-hop culture or popular culture festivities (carnival, capoeira, musical procession and circus performances). Fees for local artists will be R$ 6 thousand, except for poetry vocals, which will be R$ 2 thousand.
Fica 2024 will be held between the 11th and 16th of June in the city of Goiás. The event will feature 30 free musical attractions during the six days of the event. In addition to presentations by artists from Goiás, the festival will have three national shows. Of these, the singer and composer Sandra de Sá, who will perform on Friday (14), and the band Ira!, who will perform on Saturday (15), have already been confirmed. Another surprise attraction will be announced soon.
Multicultural event
Fica 2024 has a vast free program, with competitive exhibitions, debates with big names in national and international cinema, environmental activities and cultural attractions. The 25th edition of the festival is organized by the Government of Goiás, through the State Secretariat for Culture (Secult), in collaboration with the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), through the Educational Radio and Television Foundation (RTVE).
The festival is supported by the Goiás Social program; of the State Secretariats for Resumption; of Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti); and Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad); Saneago; State University of Goiás (UEG), Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG); Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) and City Hall of the city of Goiás. This year the event also has as supporters the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples (Funai) and Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz).
