More than 200 films are already registered to participate in the competitive screening of the 24th edition of the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (FICA). FICA 2023 will be held between the 13th and 18th of June 2023, in the city of Goiás, and is promoted by the Government of Goiás, through the State Secretariat for Culture (Secult), co-organized by the Federal University of Goiás (UFG ), through the Educational Radio and Television Foundation (RTVE).
Registration to participate in the exhibition ends next week, on April 20th, and can be done on the website Fica.go.gov.br. The festival will allocate more than R$ 366 thousand to audiovisual producers and the films will be selected by committees of members approved in a public notice. The list of works selected for the Fica 2023 competitive exhibitions will be published on the festival website by May 8, 2023.
Registration for training activities during the event also remains open. There are vacancies for five professionals with experience in the area of cinema and audiovisual production to carry out activities in the form of short courses or workshops and script and project laboratories in person during Fica 2023. To participate, you must fill out a form on the website Fica.go.gov.br until April 28th.
FICA 2023
The 24th edition of FICA will also be held in partnership with the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad), State University of Goiás (UEG), Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) and City Hall from the city of Goiás.
The program will feature competitive exhibitions, debates with big names in national and international cinema, shows, fairs and environmental activities. In addition to cultural activities, FICA 2023 will also feature the production of a dossier that will help preserve the memory, permanence and continuity of the festival as an effective public policy in the city of Goiás.
FICA is an important space for discussion and reflection on man's relationship with nature and its consequences for the planet. Throughout its history, the festival has established itself as one of the main references for environmental cinema in Brazil and the world.
