Registration for the call for members of the film selection committees for the 24th edition of the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (FICA) is now open. FICA 2023 will be held between the 13th and 18th of June 2023, in the city of Goiás, and is promoted by the Government of Goiás, through the State Secretariat for Culture (Secult), co-organized by the Federal University of Goiás (UFG ), through the Educational Radio and Television Foundation (RTVE).
Registration is open until April 10th and can be done via the website Fica.go.gov.br. Five members will be selected for the Selection Committee of the Washington Novaes International Competitive Exhibition of Environmental Themed Films, and three members will be selected for the Selection Committee of the competitive exhibitions of Cinema Goiano and Becos da Minha Terra of Vilaboenses Films. Remuneration ranges from R$ 4 thousand to R$ 7 thousand.
The evaluation of the members of the selection committees will be based on the analysis of their CVs, prioritizing the criteria of experience in the audiovisual area. The result of the notice will be published on April 11th on the website Fica.go.gov.br.
FICA 2023
The 24th edition of FICA will also be held in partnership with the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad), State University of Goiás (UEG), Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) and City Hall from the city of Goiás.
The program will feature competitive exhibitions, debates with big names in national and international cinema, shows, fairs and environmental activities. In addition to cultural activities, Fica 2023 will also feature the production of a dossier that will help preserve the memory, permanence and continuity of the festival as an effective public policy in the city of Goiás.
FICA is an important space for discussion and reflection on man's relationship with nature and its consequences for the planet. Throughout its history, the festival has established itself as one of the main references for environmental cinema in Brazil and the world.
