This week, Saneago is present at the 24th edition of the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (FICA), traditionally held in the City of Goiás. This year, the Company participates in the programming in an integrated action with the state departments of Education (Seduc ) and Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad), through the Expresso Ambiental Caravan.
On Wednesday (14), Saneago's environmental education team was at the front of the vehicle, available to serve high school students from public schools in the region. On the occasion, activities with environmental themes were carried out and the Expresso Ambiental project was presented and doubts were answered for around 80 students.
Saneago Regional Goiás biologist Paula Bergamini highlighted the importance of practical activity with students to promote environmental education. “We promoted an activity in which we took students to Largo do Parque Carioca to assess the quality of the water. It was a recreational activity, but also aimed at preserving the environment.”, he detailed. She highlighted that some parameters such as PH and oxygen level in the Red River were evaluated. “Both for recreational activities such as bathing and also the issue of diversity, they are suitable”, he concluded. During the action, macro invertebrates, which are aquatic organisms, were also collected. “The great diversity found at the site indicates a good quality of the environment,” he said.

Third-year student at Colégio Liceu Kaiky Naves was one of the participants in the educational action. He was present at the event in the afternoon. “The activities provided new experiences and a new perspective on Parque Carioca”, he observed.
The Expresso Ambiental is a technological minibus, equipped to serve the population of Goiás with educational activities. It is prepared to explain and demonstrate in different ways the water and sewage treatment processes carried out by Saneago. This is an itinerant action, which aims to promote greater environmental responsibility and encourage the dissemination of environmentally friendly technologies.
At FICA, the presence of the minibus aims to publicize this project and promote the guarantee of water security for the local population, being an important instrument in raising awareness about environmental issues. In addition, Expresso also seeks to provide access to new technological tools and resources, stimulating public interest in adopting environmental practices aimed at sustainability.
The Festival
FICA will be held between the 13th and 18th of June 2023, in the city of Goiás. Promoted by the Government of Goiás, through the State Secretariat for Culture (Secult), co-organized by the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), by through the Educational Radio and Television Foundation (FRTVE). The event also has a partnership with the State Secretariat for Resumption, Goiás Social, State University of Goiás (UEG), Federal Institute of Goiás (UFG), Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) and City Hall of the city of Goiás.
