Synopsis
Avôa tells the story of a reunion that is not in the here and now, it is a reunion of generations that permeates issues of belonging, race, masculinity and presents a proposal to retell the stories of a black, peripheral family from two generational points . Grandfather (Erculano Ribeiro) and grandson (Lucas Mendes). Killing yesterday's bird with a stone that was only thrown today is recreating in the now the possibilities exterminated for the black population throughout history in the not-so-distant past. Avôa talks about negotiation through our affective memories of humanity, which is non-negotiable.
