Synopsis

Afro X is an experimental short film that uses the languages of Orixá mythology and Urban Dances. The relationship between these two languages occurs through Dancehall and Oxum, focusing on sensuality and lightness of movements. Hip Hop Dance and Ogum in which symbolic coping and movements with muscle tone meet in this connection. Vogue and Iansã, concentrating the movements on the arms and turns. All junctions seek to bring this imagination of what these archetypes can be like in people and in their daily lives. Afro X is the name given to these links. X could be the result of an equation in which trajectory and personal search add up or multiply in the process of discovery and invention of the black body in dance and visuals. Urban Dances + Orixás / Creation + Identity = X.
