Space destined to the collection of all editions of the International Environmental Film and Video Festival temporarily occupies one of the administrative rooms of the Octo Marques Cultural Center
The Reference Center for the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (Fica) is temporarily operating in Goiânia. The place, intended to preserve the memory and history of the exhibition, occupies a room in the Octo Marques Cultural Center, in the Parthenon Center Building, located at Rua 4, nº 515, Central sector, open from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
The Secretary of State for Culture, Yara Nunes, explains that the new space was completely adequate to receive Fica's historical material, accommodate the event's permanent team and receive researchers and students. “The lighting was completely replaced, the room received new paint, the furniture was relocated, as well as the paintings and objects from the Festival awards. In short, the entire collection of the International Environmental Film and Video Festival”, details Yara Nunes.
In addition to preserving Fica's history, the Reference Center is also an important source of research for filmmakers, cinema researchers, audiovisual students and the general public. In the space, it is possible to have access to the entire history of the festival, from its first edition to the most recent. At the end of each new exhibition, the team collects relevant materials to be archived, such as catalogues, posters, folders and press material.
