Registration open for Fica 2024 film exhibitions

The 25th edition of the festival takes place between the 11th and 16th of June, in the city of Goiás, with prizes of up to R$ 35 thousand.

The Government of Goiás, through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult), opens this Friday (09/02) registrations for the competitive exhibitions of the 25th edition of the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (Fica). Interested parties can register until March 8, 2024, using an electronic form on Fica's official website: Fica.go.gov.br/.

The producer or director of the film must choose between four options: Washington Novaes International Competitive Exhibition, Goiano Cinema Competitive Exhibition, Becos da Minha Terra Competitive Exhibition of Vilaboense Films and Indigenous and Traditional Peoples Cinema Exhibition.

The Washington Novaes International Competitive Exhibition, the main event of the festival, will have a committee made up of seven members to evaluate the works entered. Six feature films and eight short or medium-length films will be selected, including three films from Goiás. Prizes of up to R$ 35 thousand are on offer.

The prizes for the others will be: Mostra de Cinema Goiano (up to R$ 11 thousand), Mostra Becos da Minha Terra de Filmes Vilaboenses (up to R$ 5 thousand) and Mostra de Cinema Indígena e de Povos Tradicionais (up to R$10 thousand). FICA 2024

The 25th edition of Fica is organized by the Government of Goiás, through the State Secretariat for Culture, in collaboration with the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). The festival also has the support of the State Secretariats for Resumption and Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad), State University of Goiás (UEG), Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), Social Service of Commerce (Sesc), Goiás Social and City Hall from the city of Goiás.
