Fica 2024 receives record number of submissions from local and regional artists

There were 244 people registered to compete for the 27 places available in both modalities. Sandra de Sá, Banda Ira! and a surprise artist also complete the national attractions.

The 25th edition of the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (Fica) received a record number of entries in the Call for Artistic Presentations, the deadline for application ended last Tuesday (04/30). In total, there were 244 requests to participate to fill the 27 vacancies available in the local and regional attractions categories.

Modality 1, focused on local attractions, whose artists and groups should reside in the city of Goiás, is subdivided into the categories: Celebration of popular culture, Musical Presentations, Hip Hop culture presentations and Poetry Vocalization. 16 places were reserved for this modality, distributed among the categories, and the total number of registrants reached 82.

Modality 2 is aimed at regional attractions – artists and artistic groups from across the state – and received 162 applications to apply for the 11 vacancies available in the Musical Performances category.

Selected regional attractions will receive R$ 10,000 each. Fees for local artists will be R$ 6 thousand, except for poetry vocals, which will be R$ 2 thousand.

Fica 2024 will be held between the 11th and 16th of June in the city of Goiás. The event will feature 30 free musical attractions during the six days of the event. In addition to presentations by artists from Goiás, the festival will have three national shows. Of these, the singer and composer Sandra de Sá, who will perform on Friday (14), and the band Ira!, who will perform on Saturday (15), have already been confirmed. Another surprise attraction will be announced soon.

Enabling Phase

Registrations will now proceed to the qualification phase, which consists of analyzing the documents and information presented at the time of registration, with an eliminatory nature. The preliminary results of accepted registrations are scheduled for May 6th.

Proposals considered qualified will then go to the evaluation phase carried out by an Evaluation Committee, which will select those registered for the final result.
