The final result of the selection of components for the evaluation committees of the competitive film exhibitions of the 25th International Environmental Film and Video Festival (Fica 2024), scheduled to be released this Monday, was postponed until this Friday (03/08). fair (04/03).

The measure was taken after the organizing committee received an appeal questioning the classification, in the preliminary result, of candidates who did not meet the requirements set out in item 7.10., subitems II and IV of this notice.

In order to resolve any doubts and ensure the smoothness of the process, the Organizing Committee decided to call the classified candidates who opted to reserve places for black, brown and indigenous people for an interview at a hetero-identification panel, in virtual format, on the 5th and 6th. March 2024, for evaluation.

The mechanism's legal and priority way is to guarantee the legality of the process. As soon as the information is clarified, the festival schedule will continue without prejudice to the other candidates.

The festival

One of the most important and representative festivals in the audiovisual segment in the world, Fica 2024 will be held from the 11th to the 16th of June, in the city of Goiás. The 25th edition of Fica is promoted by the Government of Goiás, through Secult, co-hosted by Federal University of Goiás (UFG), through the Educational Radio and Television Foundation (RTVE), in partnership with the State Secretariats for Resumption and Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad), State University of Goiás (UEG), Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) and Goiás City Hall.
